Vario-Load-Rescue: Civil Protection & Digital Support in Emergencies
We – the INVENTIED team, made up of Jan, Trang, Markus and Lukas – want to provide even better support to emergency services in disaster response with our Vario-Load-Rescue. That’s why we need you!
Description
We have designed an innovative, modular frame for lorry and car trailers that allows a wide variety of different pieces of equipment to be loaded quickly. This equipment can be used, for example, to construct temporary bridges, decontamination chambers and wall supports. The latter are used to stabilise buildings that are at risk of collapse, for example due to fire and the fire-fighting water trapped within the walls.
With our modular, adaptable and yet easy-to-use system, all emergency equipment can be loaded ergonomically, safely and securely, enabling emergency services to deploy immediately in an emergency without first having to laboriously load the equipment – as is usually the case. This saves time – precious minutes that can make all the difference in an emergency.
To ensure we can support disaster management even more effectively in future, we want to work with you and your creative ideas to map out the next steps:
Callenge 1
#Digitalisation: We want to enhance the Vario-Load-Rescue with additional digital applications. We are considering, for example, an automatic stock analysis that suggests sample designs using the available materials, or a simulation of design options that supports emergency services personnel in their on-site decision-making. How can potential digital applications for the Vario-Load-Rescue be implemented using existing or new technologies?

#Disaster Relief Organisation: Our Vario-Load-Rescue is already in use at the THW. However, we are convinced that our Vario-Load-Rescue can also help other organisations, both at home and abroad, to protect people from the consequences of disasters. Which other disaster relief organisations could also make use of the Vario-Load-Rescue?

#Areas of application: We have also considered that our modular system could be used in contexts other than civil protection. Are there any other areas of application where our modular frame could provide a solution?
